OLVENIQ Saddlery — handcrafted in the European Union

The Aachen is a close-contact saddle in the classical sense: minimal bulk, maximal feel, and craftsmanship that survives water combinations and airport handlers alike.

Cut, skived, stitched and edge-painted entirely by hand in our European atelier, this piece uses saddlery techniques measured in hours, not minutes: eight stitches to the inch, linen thread drawn through beeswax, edges sealed and polished until they feel like glass.

Design & Craftsmanship

  • Dual-density latex-and-wool panel absorbing landing forces
  • Delivered in a cotton dust bag inside our deep-green saddle trunk carton
  • V-system billets in English bridle butt for an even, stable girthing line
  • Reinforced knee pads hidden beneath the flap for five-star durability
  • Signature old-gold nameplate, individually numbered
  • Stainless-steel stirrup bars, recessed and hand-polished
  • Wool-flocked panels shaped on the bench, allowing millimetre-precise fitting and future adjustment

Care

Wipe dust and sweat after each use with a barely damp cloth, then feed the leather monthly with the OLVENIQ Leather Balsam. Keep away from direct heat, allow wet leather to dry naturally, and store on a shaped rack or padded hook. Treated with respect, this piece will serve for decades and acquire a patina unique to your stable.

Questions, Answered

How do I know my seat size?
Your fitter will confirm it, but as guidance: most riders take 17" or 17.5"; longer thigh or a preference for a roomier seat suggests 18".

Is a trial period offered?
We arrange a professional fitting appointment with test rides. Together with our exchange policy on standard specifications, you can be entirely certain before the saddle stays.
