OLVENIQ Saddlery — handcrafted in the European Union
The Fontainebleau belongs to our dressage line, where every gram of leather serves the connection between seat and back. It is a saddle designed to disappear, leaving only the conversation.
The leather is selected hide by hide from a single family-run tannery in Tuscany, vegetable-tanned over six weeks and finished by hand until it develops the deep, quiet lustre that no accelerated process can imitate. Our saddlers cut every panel along the natural grain, so the piece breaks in gracefully and grows more beautiful with each season of use.
Design & Craftsmanship
- Grippy full-grain seat finish that stabilises the seat without restricting the pelvis
- Extended panel gusset distributing weight across the full saddle-support area
- Seamless deep seat construction with no pressure ridges under the rider
- Cut-back head plate giving generous wither freedom for uphill movers
- Full-grain Tuscan calfskin seat and flaps with English bridle-leather skirts
- Hand-stitched in our European atelier — eight stitches to the inch in waxed linen thread
- Each hide vegetable-tanned for six weeks by a single family tannery

Care
Wipe dust and sweat after each use with a barely damp cloth, then feed the leather monthly with the OLVENIQ Leather Balsam. Keep away from direct heat, allow wet leather to dry naturally, and store on a shaped rack or padded hook. Treated with respect, this piece will serve for decades and acquire a patina unique to your stable.
