OLVENIQ Saddlery — handcrafted in the European Union
Some saddles hold the rider; the Madrigal listens to them. Cut long and clean in Tuscan calf, flocked by hand, balanced on the bench — it is dressage equipment at its most distilled.
We work exclusively with full-grain European calfskin and English bridle butts, tanned slowly with oak and mimosa bark. Each hide is rested, stuffed with tallow and waxes, then burnished by hand — a rhythm of work unchanged for a century, and the reason OLVENIQ leather ages into character rather than wear.
Design & Craftsmanship
- Grippy full-grain seat finish that stabilises the seat without restricting the pelvis
- V-system billets in English bridle butt for an even, stable girthing line
- Wool-flocked panels shaped on the bench, allowing millimetre-precise fitting and future adjustment
- Hand-stitched in our European atelier — eight stitches to the inch in waxed linen thread
- Ultra-narrow twist seating the rider directly over the horse's centre of motion
- Extended panel gusset distributing weight across the full saddle-support area
- Each hide vegetable-tanned for six weeks by a single family tannery

Care
Clean with a glycerine saddle soap as needed and condition sparingly — quality leather prefers little and often. Avoid oils in excess, which soften structure. We offer a full refurbishment service: stitching, flocking and finish can be renewed at our atelier at any point in the piece's life.
Questions, Answered
What is the delivery time?
Each saddle is made to order in our European atelier. Standard lead time is 6–8 weeks; a priority service is available on request through your concierge.
How do I know my seat size?
Your fitter will confirm it, but as guidance: most riders take 17" or 17.5"; longer thigh or a preference for a roomier seat suggests 18".
The OLVENIQ Promise
OLVENIQ stands behind each piece that leaves our atelier: an extended house warranty, fully insured delivery to your yard, and a personal concierge for fitting, installation and care questions. Quiet, attentive service is part of the product.
