OLVENIQ Saddlery — handcrafted in the European Union

Long days, honest cattle work, show-pen precision — the Pegasus was tooled for all three, with a seat you stop thinking about after the first hour.

We work exclusively with full-grain European calfskin and English bridle butts, tanned slowly with oak and mimosa bark. Each hide is rested, stuffed with tallow and waxes, then burnished by hand — a rhythm of work unchanged for a century, and the reason OLVENIQ leather ages into character rather than wear.

Design & Craftsmanship

  • V-system billets in English bridle butt for an even, stable girthing line
  • Signature old-gold nameplate, individually numbered
  • Hand-stitched in our European atelier — eight stitches to the inch in waxed linen thread
  • In-skirt rigging in stainless steel keeping the seat close and the cinch stable
  • Cheyenne-roll cantle and deep pocketed seat for long, secure hours
  • Rough-out fenders pre-turned over a bench bar — no break-in twisting required

Clean with a glycerine saddle soap as needed and condition sparingly — quality leather prefers little and often. Avoid oils in excess, which soften structure.

Questions, Answered

How do I know my seat size?
Your fitter will confirm it, but as guidance: most riders take 17" or 17.5"; longer thigh or a preference for a roomier seat suggests 18".
