OLVENIQ Saddlery — handcrafted in the European Union

Developed with Grand Prix riders over three seasons, the Sarabande pairs a close, quiet seat with the structural calm of a hand-fitted tree — a dressage saddle for riders who measure success in half-halts nobody saw.

Only the tightest, cleanest sections of each hide meet our standard; the rest is set aside. What remains is leather with a dense, silky hand that holds its shape in work yet softens beautifully to the touch — the signature of slow European tanning and patient handwork.

Design & Craftsmanship

  • V-system billets in English bridle butt for an even, stable girthing line
  • Edges skived, folded and edge-painted by hand — no raw cuts anywhere on the saddle
  • Signature old-gold nameplate, individually numbered
  • Grippy full-grain seat finish that stabilises the seat without restricting the pelvis
  • Stainless-steel stirrup bars, recessed and hand-polished
  • Seamless deep seat construction with no pressure ridges under the rider
  • Each hide vegetable-tanned for six weeks by a single family tannery

Care

Clean with a glycerine saddle soap as needed and condition sparingly — quality leather prefers little and often. Avoid oils in excess, which soften structure. We offer a full refurbishment service: stitching, flocking and finish can be renewed at our atelier at any point in the piece's life.

Questions, Answered

How do I know my seat size?
Your fitter will confirm it, but as guidance: most riders take 17" or 17.5"; longer thigh or a preference for a roomier seat suggests 18".

What is the delivery time?
Each saddle is made to order in our European atelier. Standard lead time is 6–8 weeks; a priority service is available on request through your concierge.
