OLVENIQ Saddlery — handcrafted in the European Union
The Toledo bridle is patterned around the anatomy of the equine head — nerves, vessels and all — then executed in English bridle leather with the patience of old-world lorinery.
Cut, skived, stitched and edge-painted entirely by hand in our European atelier, this piece uses saddlery techniques measured in hours, not minutes: eight stitches to the inch, linen thread drawn through beeswax, edges sealed and polished until they feel like glass.
Design & Craftsmanship
- Stitched in waxed linen at eight stitches to the inch — no rivets anywhere
- Contoured, tapering noseband padded with memory foam over softest calf lining
- Old-gold or matte stainless fittings, individually cast and polished
- Hand-rolled cheekpieces and throatlash in English bridle leather
- Buckle guards protecting the leather at every adjustment point
- Anatomically curved headpiece relieving poll pressure with a soft padded contour

Care
Wipe dust and sweat after each use with a barely damp cloth, then feed the leather monthly with the OLVENIQ Leather Balsam. Keep away from direct heat, allow wet leather to dry naturally, and store on a shaped rack or padded hook. Treated with respect, this piece will serve for decades and acquire a patina unique to your stable.
Questions, Answered
Does it match other OLVENIQ pieces?
Yes — leathers, dyes and hardware are standardised across the collection, so bridle, breastplate and saddle age together as one set.
Which size should I choose?
Cob suits most smaller-framed horses and large ponies; Full fits the majority of warmbloods. Detailed measuring charts are included on this page, and our fitters are happy to confirm from photographs.
